I was so excited to
sign up for the Bead Soup Blog Party and was thrilled when Lori partnered me with
Ginger my new BSBPBFF. I was about to
embark on a new adventure and thankfully Ginger walked me through the process.
I have a lot to learn but next go round I will be a seasoned BSBP person. I already can’t wait!
When Ginger’s package arrived I knew right away
it was from her, the box was beautifully and uniquely decorated with pictures and even a map of
Okinawa - how cool is that. Inside
everything was individually wrapped and sealed with Hello Kitty stickers and
then surrounded by beautiful purple tissue paper; a treasure trove of beads,
sea shells and gifts.
My package to Ginger
was sadly lacking except for one lone maple leaf sealing the package – how sad. Next
time my package will definitely be more thought out. It will include a little
bit of Canadiana and definitely a little something extra for my partner because
I so appreciated receiving these from Ginger (oh but she spoiled me)!
Ginger's gorgeous gifts!
Surprise #1
Surprise #2
Ginger made this pendant and used pictures
I had taken, truly a thoughtful and wonderful gift!
I loved the challenge, the camaraderie, the excitement and hope I have done justice to some of the treasures Ginger sent me. Thank you Ginger, you are an awesome partner
and I will treasure your friendship.
Thank you Lori, you
are an awesome hostess and oh so much appreciated.
Bead Soup 2nd Reveal - please enjoy and make sure to visit all the sites!
Without further ado here is what I made with the delicious soup Ginger sent!
Must say this was the most awesome experience, thank you again Lori!!!!!
You made justice to Ginger's soup!! Beautiful work!!!
ReplyDeleteHoly Crap! I'm glad I stayed up past midnight for this. I knew you were amazing, but WOW! I kinda feel sorry for my sand dollars they will never find life in a piece that amazing. Plus it's so cool to see how differently we worked with the same beads. Upside down for the focal. Brilliant! I could go on and on, but I'm tired. You're lovely, talented and were above and beyond anything I expected from a swap partner. Thank you so much.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous bead embroidery! Love the sand dollar necklace. and I love the idea of making something with beads that you sent your partner. such a fun sense of color you have!
ReplyDeletebeautiful work! love them all.
ReplyDeletegorgeous soup!
ReplyDeletelove how you used the same bead mix as your partner as an experiment to see how each one of you will pair the beads.
Nice soup creations
ReplyDeleteEmpress Eleanor knocks my socks off! You did SUCH a good job, and Ginger is a sweetheart, too. Very cool that you made something with the same soup you sent her, too -- clever!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. The sand dollar necklace is amazing! Love the pink bracelet too - don't usually gravitate towards pink - gorgeous :)
ReplyDeleteReally fabulous designs! It sounds like you had a lot of fun too!

ReplyDeleteWow! I just love your Beach Beauty necklace. Such a muted color but oh that sparkle!
ReplyDeleteOh Wow! Empress Eleanor and Beach Beauty are really BEAUTIFUL! Those two really look like you have put in a lot of work in them. Very impressive!
ReplyDeleteBeach beauty is amazing. Just sayin'.
ReplyDelete:)
Your work is incredible. I love them all but Empress Eleanor is my favorite - breathtaking is the only work I can think of to describe it. Great job!!!
ReplyDeletelovely work. ~diana
ReplyDeleteWell, that was worth waiting for!! :-) Love your idea of keeping a duplicate of the soup you've sent, and comparing notes...might have to copy that one! Just adore Zippy and Rosamund. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm another Canadian...from Barrie, ON. Where are you?
You created some very beautiful pieces! I am intrigued that you created a matching soup that you sent to your partner. How very interesting to see the two soups, very different yet similar. That is a really great idea.
ReplyDeleteStunning Creations!
ReplyDeleteI love Empress Eleanor.
love, love, love your designs! Oh and Zippy is sooo awesome with the one pink bead ;o)
ReplyDeleteOh my, you've created some beautiful designs there! The two bead-embroidered necklaces are breathtaking - love the first one with all the sparkly, shiny bits. That bright pink bracelet is gorgeous as well. So very interesting how the same bead soup turned out so differently - you and Ginger chose such different coloured beads to the black/white soup. Love what you made, especially the bracelet. Fantastic job all around!
ReplyDeleteWow - they are all beautiful. The Okinawa pearls are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteVery nice and so many pretties when you were done.

ReplyDeleteI love everything you made, but Empress Eleanor and Beach Beauty are my favorites ... I love bead weaving and bead embroidery. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAt last the long awaited reveal date, they look so beautiful. I know I've seen them in person a few days ago but it was still exciting. And they are bea-u-ti-ful!!! I am going to pop over to Ginger's site to see what she has done with her soup.
ReplyDeleteLove what you have done. Not sure which I like the best, Beach Beauty or The Sand and the Sea. But good job on everything.
ReplyDeleteI also like the idea of making something from the same beads that you sent your partner.

So much fun to view your soup... so deliciously prepared! Fabulous colors, love what you did with it! :) Kris
ReplyDeleteAwesome job! Such lovely creations!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun spin that you created with the same soup. I saw Ginger's creations first so it was neat to see yours so very different. It certainly sounds like you both had a blast and have all these great pieces to show for it. Perfect!
ReplyDeleteThe Empress and the Beach Beauty have such a lovely old fashioned look. Your beadwork is stunning! I like the idea that you also made something with the soup you sent to your partner.
ReplyDeleteSuch totally different palettes!

ReplyDeleteFirstly, SO jealous of that little key chain. It's too adorable :)
Your pieces are truly awe inspiring, especially those first and last necklaces. Not only are they jewelry, but they should be considered pieces of art!
Happy Hopping :)

Hi Debbie,
ReplyDeleteOh Wow I love what you made using the bead soup that Ginger sent to you they are gorgeous! You are a fast beader to get all of this done in time for the reveal, you are awesome!
Therese
I am VERY VERY VERY impressed by what you did with your soup!!!! So prolific and absolutely gorgeous!!!!
ReplyDeleteYour creations are beautiful! And I love the surprises she sent you!
ReplyDeleteWow! I love your creations! Rosamund is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteThe sand and sea set is just simply amazing!!! I am totally amazed at your creations!!
ReplyDeleteDebbie, I was blown away at Ginger's blog and now I get to do it again here! All your pieces are crazy-gorgeous; while I LOVE the black and whites you made, as a non-beader I am awed by the mysterious (to me) beaded necklaces you created. My eyesight is unfortunately past the point of undertaking such skills; I used to employ beads in my cross stitch many years ago, but can no longer do that, either :(
ReplyDeleteAll of your pieces are stunning! But I love the wild thing necklace the best. It is such a combination of wild and funky with gorgeous details! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWow, that first necklace is so intricate and I love the sand dollar focal. I also love the pink necklace.
ReplyDeleteOMG beautiful beadwork. All your pieces are really stunning!
ReplyDeleteGreat Job! I love the Beachy pieces!!
ReplyDeleteThe sand dollar piece is awesome and I love the fact that you made pieces out of the same combination that you sent as well. You are very talented.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work. Forgive the latest of this comment. Have gotten way backed up
