....choose your own adventure....

Freeform reveal day is here! Karen Williams of Baublicious and Mandy Ainsworth Bead Circle teamed up to have a freeform peyote challenge called "Choose your own Adventure" and Oh what a fun adventure this was! I have done very little free form, not sure why because once I start a project I loose myself completely and just go wherever I am taken, it is so completely relaxing and enjoyable.

The hardest part of my adventure was choosing the beads that would accompany me along the way, but that is the true beauty of freeform - it doesn't matter how you start or how you finish or what beads you use.

I have made two necklaces both with mostly seed beads. There are of course crystals, pearls, glass beads and shells thrown in. Hope you enjoy. I know I am going to enjoy the adventure of visiting the other participants sites to see where their adventure took them.

....busy, busy, busy....

So much to do so little time....I think I may have bitten off a bit much....oh but I do love a challenge. I am taking a painting course that I was slow to start so now I am under pressure. I am super excited though and can't wait to get my fingers messy. As well as the painting course I am taking a photography course too. Love love love taking pictures and just want to get better and better at it, so looking forward to this class on lighting. And not to forget I am doing the Beading Babes Project 8 challenge, the Free Form Peyote challenge and the Bead Soup Blog Party...whew!   Free Form project done; just waiting for Feb 23 reveal, 5 of the 6 Beading Babes projects done, soup sent....

I hope Amy loves the soup.... can't wait for my soup to arrive (I know it will be full of yummy ingredients)...the ideas are just bubbling and boiling away.

Oh and did I mention that  my favorite local beading store has asked me to be an instructor!!!

I haven't been idle though, this bracelet has been taking everyone by storm and of course I had to have one. My take on the popular fad.....

Licorice Twist
I just love this bracelet, so easy to make and so fun to wear.

..power of suggestion?

The partners have all been announced for the BSBP and I was delighted to find out my partner is Amy Severino. It is actually quite amazing hence the "power of suggestion" title. Amy and I had been blogging just a few nights earlier and I made the comment that wouldn't it be amazing if her and I were picked as partners, but hey what are the odds...with over 500 participants it would be truly remarkable. Next I got a message from Amy announcing we were partners!  I almost didn't believe it until I got my email from Lori.  I have been following Amy's work for a while now and she never ceases to amaze me. We are both seed beader's and I know we will become even better friends than we already are.

My soup is mixed and packaged and will be in the mail tomorrow. This just gets better and better. I have taken a picture of the soup (secret for now) that I am sending and I so hope that Amy likes it.  I know she will amaze everyone with her creations.

I have been busy, busy, busy but can't reveal yet although I just can't wait to do so.  Hopefully everyone will enjoy some more photos I have taken.

...so excited...

I have been busy creating my soup, oh I can't wait to find out who my partner will be for the 7th Bead Soup Blog Party. I have also been busy with the projects for Beading Babes, and loving them all so far. I have finished several projects but  can't post just yet. I have also received several more diachroic glass focals and can't wait to use them....oh so much I want to do and so little time.

I have also signed up for a photography class and I am really looking forward to starting....Oh I do love a challenge.  I work at a University and the campus buildings provide so many photo opportunities. Country drives also provide wonderful photo ops...I don't know there is something about old buildings that makes them so photo worthy. I have included a some photos I have recently taken  So much fun to see the outcome of these photos are using Photoshop. Happy beading and happy snapping!!!
