Back in the day it was called doodling and I was a master, I doodled in all my school books, I doodled everywhere and now even when I am in a meeting I find myself doodling....only now it's called "Zentangle"
http://zentangle.blogspot.ca/....and oh yeah it is addicting. You do go into a zen like trance and just totally relax. I need to be careful though, eventually someone at work will wonder what I am doing...but because you tangle on a three and one half in square it is easy to conceal!!!

Tangled up or not I still had time to bead and "Urchin" was created. Fun to make and took no time at all. I thought it looked a bit weird at first but my wonderful sister loved it and thought it was really pretty. I love the color and it is fun to wear.

This month I have promised myself that I will get my Etsy store up and running, I am having difficulty picking a store name...I think that is the hardest part, but once I am past that hurdle I think it will be a breeze. Stay tuned.
I love the dragonfly! That would make such beautiful fabric (says the girl still obsessed with spoonflower.com).
ReplyDeleteUrchin is awesome. I love the texture!
I haven't gotten my Etsy shop up and running yet, either. What if we make a pact to get at least one item listed before the end of the month?
I love zentangle but I've never been much of a doodler and I really don't need another thing to distract me! Your dragonfly is beautiful. So is Urchin! I love the color and texture. Good luck with the store. I find names difficult too.
ReplyDeleteI put off opening my etsy store for about six months claiming that I was trying to come up with a name. Of all the articles I read on how to name your store, the one theme that kept coming up was name recognition. So I ended up using my real name and have not been sorry. I know that I remember people's names easier than I do their store names, so my advice would be to use your name.
ReplyDeleteThat Zentangle is AMAZING!
